There is a proposal for three new Academies to be opened in Witham and Hockley in September 2008 - at Greensward College, The John Bramston School and The Rickstones School. This is in response to concerns about the number of children having to travel out of the area to school and low attainment in certain subjects.
These Academies would represent exciting new educational opportunities for students, staff, parents and the local community. They would provide a rich curriculum with a focus on personalised learning and specialisms for all in fit-for-purpose learning environments housing state-of-the-art IT facilities.
We welcome your views and contributions, which will be taken into consideration before the Sponsors and Government make the final decision to fund the proposed Academies.
